Where Mixtape Culture Lives, Evolves, and Dominates
Today on BLAZIN 420, we sit down with one of the most influential curators in global Hip-Hop — DJ King Flow, the mastermind behind The Mixtape Addict Radio Show.
From France to the U.S., from underground legends to industry giants, from explosive blends to worldwide tours — DJ King Flow has built a legacy rooted in authenticity, lyricism, and cultural preservation.
Let’s step inside the world of the Mixtape Addict.
THE INTERVIEW BEGINS
BLAZIN 420:
King Flow, welcome to BLAZIN 420. For those just discovering the movement, how would you describe The Mixtape Addict Radio Show in your own words?
DJ KING FLOW:
The Mixtape Addict Radio Show is the home of real Hip-Hop.
It’s where bars matter, beats hit, and the culture lives without filters.
I created this platform to shine light on raw talent, legendary voices, and everything that keeps the mixtape spirit alive.
It’s pure Hip-Hop — global, gritty, authentic.
BLAZIN 420:
You’ve been in the game since you were 14 — a true prodigy. How did starting so young shape your perspective and your sound?
DJ KING FLOW:
Starting young taught me discipline and respect for the craft.
I spent hours studying production, DJs, lyricists, underground tapes — all of it.
Growing up in France and watching Hip-Hop explode worldwide gave me a unique angle.
I wasn’t just listening — I was learning, building, and creating my own style from the ground up.
BLAZIN 420:
Your catalog includes collaborations with Ras Kass, Juicy J, Tragedy Khadafi, Torae, O.C., Khujo Goodie and more. How do these iconic partnerships influence your evolution as a DJ and producer?
DJ KING FLOW:
Working with legends is like attending masterclass after masterclass.
They’ve seen the industry rise, fall, and rise again — and they carry wisdom you can’t find in textbooks.
Every collaboration teaches me something new about timing, delivery, energy, and longevity.
It sharpens my ear and pushes me to stay creative, hungry, and innovative.
BLAZIN 420:
Your international movement with Young Amsterdam has connected artists and audiences from across continents. What led you to build such a global bridge?
DJ KING FLOW:
Hip-Hop is universal.
It’s bigger than borders, languages, and backgrounds.
Young Amsterdam and I saw early on that European artists needed access to the U.S. market — and U.S. artists needed new global audiences.
We built that bridge so culture could travel both ways.
It became a movement that connected France, New York, Canada, Seattle, Dallas — everywhere Hip-Hop lives.
BLAZIN 420:
In 2015, you launched Mixtape Addict, which has now become a global brand. What inspired you to create an entire empire around the mixtape culture?
DJ KING FLOW:
The mixtape era raised me.
It taught me about discovery, creativity, risk-taking, and independence.
I started Mixtape Addict to honor that legacy — and protect a part of Hip-Hop that was being forgotten.
I wanted to give artists a space to be raw, unfiltered, lyrical, and real again.
Now it’s a movement that spans interviews, radio, video content, and beyond.
BLAZIN 420:
The Mixtape Addict Report helped expand your reach across France, Canada, and the U.S. What made you step into the world of video interviews?
DJ KING FLOW:
I wanted fans to connect with artists face-to-face.
Audio is powerful, but visuals let you see their story, energy, and essence.
The Mixtape Addict Report allowed us to capture the culture visually — the artists, the producers, the behind-the-scenes legends.
It added another layer to the brand and brought global recognition.
BLAZIN 420:
What makes the Mixtape Addict Radio Show stand out from other Hip-Hop platforms?
DJ KING FLOW:
Authenticity.
We’re not chasing trends — we’re preserving culture.
We highlight lyricism, storytelling, underground greatness, and the essence of mixtape DNA.
Every show delivers exclusive drops, rare records, big features, and the blends that only a true mixtape DJ can create.
It’s Hip-Hop in its purest form.
BLAZIN 420:
What’s next for DJ King Flow and the Mixtape Addict brand?
DJ KING FLOW:
Expansion — always.
More collaborations, more international partnerships, more exclusive tapes, more live shows.
I’m building new platforms, new content series, and new opportunities for artists worldwide.
The movement is global, and we’re just getting started.
FINAL WORDS FROM DJ KING FLOW
