South Traxx Radio with DJ D South

Where the South Speaks, Shines, and Stands Strong

Today on BLAZIN 420, we sit down with a true titan of Southern sound — Sebastian “DJ D South” Riley, the mastermind behind the powerhouse platform known as South Traxx Radio.

With over 20 years of DJing, engineering, producing, and elevating artists, DJ D South is one of the most respected voices in the game.

Representing Mississippi with pride and repping the legendary Violator Allstar DJs, he brings a rich blend of tradition, technical mastery, and forward-moving energy to every broadcast.

Let’s enter the world of South Traxx — where authenticity meets excellence.

THE INTERVIEW BEGINS

BLAZIN 420:

DJ D South, welcome to BLAZIN 420. South Traxx Radio has become a cultural cornerstone for Southern Hip-Hop and R&B. How would you describe the soul and purpose of your show?

DJ D SOUTH:

South Traxx Radio is the heartbeat of the South.

It’s where our sound, our culture, our voices, and our energy get amplified the right way.

I created this platform to celebrate the artists who represent the South — the mainstream stars, the regional legends, and the new talent grinding their way up.

Every episode is crafted with intention, passion, and respect for the culture.

BLAZIN 420:

Your career spans two decades, covering DJing, audio engineering, event entertainment, and more. How has your experience shaped the way you curate your show?

DJ D SOUTH:

Experience teaches you what resonates.

I’ve rocked weddings, concerts, clubs, festivals — you name it. I’ve engineered everything from polished records to raw indie tracks.

So when I’m building a South Traxx episode, I’m pulling from all of that.

I know what hits, what moves people, and what deserves to be heard.

That’s why the mixes flow, the segments connect, and the energy stays consistent.

BLAZIN 420:

Being a member of the world-renowned Violator Allstar DJs is a massive achievement. What does that affiliation mean to you?

DJ D SOUTH:

It’s an honor and a responsibility.

Violator has a legacy tied to legends — Missy Elliott, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Mariah Carey, Nas, 50 Cent, and so many more.

That history pushes me to stay sharp, professional, and impactful.

Being a Violator Allstar DJ means you represent excellence every time you hit the decks or the airwaves.

I carry that with pride.

BLAZIN 420:

South Traxx Radio supports national, regional, and local artists. Why is that balance so important to you?

DJ D SOUTH:

Because the South is rich with talent on every level.

Some artists are already global, some are regional giants, and some are just getting started — but ALL deserve a platform.

South Traxx is the bridge.

We break records, spotlight rising stars, and give artists opportunities that can change their career trajectory.

It’s about unity, growth, and representation.

BLAZIN 420:

As founder of DSP Media LLC, you’ve built a national audio production company from the ground up. How does entrepreneurship influence your work as a DJ and radio host?

DJ D SOUTH:

Entrepreneurship teaches you discipline, vision, and consistency.

Running DSP Media means I understand branding, production quality, and the importance of elevating clients and creatives.

South Traxx benefits from that because the sound is polished, the structure is strong, and the execution is professional.

I treat my show like a business — and that’s why it grows.

BLAZIN 420:

Your show blends Southern flair with high-caliber DJ craftsmanship. What makes the South’s sound so special to you?

DJ D SOUTH:

The South is soul.

It’s storytelling, rhythm, struggle, triumph, and identity.

Our music has heart — whether it’s blues, bounce, trap, Southern soul, or classic Hip-Hop.

When I mix Southern records, I’m preserving history and pushing the culture forward at the same time.

BLAZIN 420:

What can fans expect next from DJ D South and South Traxx Radio?

DJ D SOUTH:

Expansion.

More syndication.

More major interviews.

More exclusive premieres.

I’m building new partnerships, bringing more artists onto the platform, and stepping into new markets nationwide.

South Traxx is growing — and we’re bringing the whole South with us.

FINAL WORDS FROM DJ D SOUTH

“The South been strong. I’m just here to make sure the world hears it, feels it, and respects it.”
