The Pregame Mix with DJ SuperFli
Where the Vibe Begins Before the Party Starts
Today on BLAZIN 420, we sit down with one of the most electrifying international DJs shaping the sound of global nightlife — DJ SuperFli, the mastermind behind The Pregame Mix.
From Nigeria to the United States, from campus parties to major stages, from mixtapes to movement-building, SuperFli has created a brand rooted in culture, creativity, and pure energy.
He’s not just preparing you for the party.
He is the party.
THE INTERVIEW BEGINS
BLAZIN 420:
SuperFli, welcome to BLAZIN 420! Your show The Pregame Mix has become a fan favorite for listeners who need that perfect mood-setter. How would you describe the spirit of the show?
DJ SUPERFLI:
The Pregame Mix is energy — straight up. It’s the soundtrack to getting ready, getting loose, and getting in the right vibe.
Whether someone is at home, in the car, or stepping out for the night, I want them to feel that spark as soon as the mix starts.
It’s global, it’s rhythmic, it’s fun — it’s where the vibe truly begins.
BLAZIN 420:
Your musical journey started in Nigeria. How did growing up there influence your sound today?
DJ SUPERFLI:
Nigeria shaped everything — my ear, my rhythm, the way I hear percussion, and the way I feel music.
Growing up listening to legends like Fela Kuti and King Sunny Adé taught me about groove, storytelling, and soul.
Those roots follow me everywhere. Even when I’m spinning hip-hop, EDM, or R&B, there’s always some Afro influence in the blend. It’s who I am.
BLAZIN 420:
You rediscovered your passion for DJing at Morgan State University. What sparked that return to music?
DJ SUPERFLI:
Being around creative people. Morgan State had this energy — this culture — that reignited my fire for music.
I started messing around with FL Studio and Virtual DJ, and people kept telling me, “Bro, you need to be doing this for real!”
That encouragement pushed me to start doing parties, events, anything I could. That’s where SuperFli was born.
BLAZIN 420:
From there, you built Naija Boyz Entertainment and grew into a respected open-format DJ and event curator. What’s been the key to your evolution?
DJ SUPERFLI:
Versatility and consistency.
I DJ everything — Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, EDM, dancehall, old school, you name it.
Being open-format taught me how to read any room, any crowd, and still deliver.
As CEO of Naija Boyz Entertainment, I built platforms like SuperFli Vibes and SuperFli Saturday’s to give other DJs and artists opportunities too.
When I rise, I bring people with me.
BLAZIN 420:
The Pregame Mix blends global sounds effortlessly. What’s your approach to creating each episode?
DJ SUPERFLI:
I treat every mix like a journey.
I start with a mood — laid back, hype, sensual, nostalgic — and build from there.
I pull from everywhere: Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, the States.
I want people to hear a transition and go, “Oh yeah, he different.”
Every episode is curated, crafted, and designed to make you move.
BLAZIN 420:
What makes The Pregame Mix on BLAZIN 420 unique compared to any other series out there?
DJ SUPERFLI:
BLAZIN 420 lets me be myself. No limits, no restrictions — just creativity.
It’s not just a mixshow; it’s a cultural fusion.
People tune in because they know SuperFli is gonna give them something global, exciting, fresh, and unpredictable.
It’s not background music. It’s a whole experience.
BLAZIN 420:
What’s next for DJ SuperFli? More mixes? Live events? Expansion?
DJ SUPERFLI:
All of the above.
I’m working on bigger events, new collaborations, more SuperFli shows, and expanding The Pregame Mix into a full brand — merch, festivals, travel parties, all that.
And with BLAZIN 420 behind me, we’re taking this international.
The energy is only getting bigger from here.
