Woodrow H. Slim (FYMF News):
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to FYMF News Exclusive. Today’s story sounds like something straight out of a comedy special, but according to reports, it actually happened. A man named Sam Li allegedly divorced his wife and won a lawsuit after discovering she had undergone extensive plastic surgery before they met. Sam, thank you for joining us.
Sam Li:
Thank you, Woodrow. Happy to be here.
Woodrow H. Slim:
Now Sam, let’s start at the beginning. Reports say everything was fine until your daughter was born. Then suddenly questions started being asked. What happened?
Sam Li:
Woodrow, I’m holding my newborn daughter, looking at her, looking at myself, looking at my wife, then looking back at the baby. I started doing math I wasn’t qualified to do.
Woodrow H. Slim:
You started conducting your own investigation?
Sam Li:
Immediately. I wasn’t accusing anybody of anything. I was simply confused. The baby looked like she had arrived from an entirely different family reunion.
Woodrow H. Slim:
Reports say you initially believed your wife had been unfaithful.
Sam Li:
That’s where my mind went. I couldn’t understand it. Then my wife sat me down and told me she had spent nearly $100,000 on plastic surgery before we met.
Woodrow H. Slim:
That’s a conversation that probably should have happened before the wedding.
Sam Li:
That’s all I’m saying. If we’re discussing favorite foods, childhood memories, and where we want to retire, maybe “I used to have a completely different face” should make the agenda.
Woodrow H. Slim:
The judge ultimately ruled in your favor and awarded you $120,000. Did you expect that outcome?
Sam Li:
Absolutely not. I thought I’d explain my side and go home. Next thing I know, the judge is looking at photographs like he’s reviewing evidence for a museum exhibit.
Woodrow H. Slim:
Some people say appearance shouldn’t matter. Others say honesty matters. What’s your response?
Sam Li:
This was never about beauty. Beauty is subjective. This was about information. If somebody renovates a house, that’s fine. But if you’re buying the house, you probably want to know what the original structure looked like.
Woodrow H. Slim:
The internet has definitely been divided on this story.
Sam Li:
The internet is divided over everything. People argue about pizza toppings, weather forecasts, and whether pineapple belongs anywhere near food. Of course they’re going to argue about this.
Woodrow H. Slim:
What lesson should viewers take away from this story?
Sam Li:
Simple. Honesty saves everybody time. Relationships are hard enough without surprise plot twists appearing after the wedding.
Woodrow H. Slim:
Final thoughts?
Sam Li:
Love people for who they are. Be truthful about who you are. And if you’ve made major changes to yourself before meeting someone, don’t wait until after the honeymoon to reveal the director’s cut.
Woodrow H. Slim:
Ladies and gentlemen, Sam Li. A man who says communication is important, but timing might be even more important.
Thank you for joining us for FYMF News Exclusive. I’m Woodrow H. Slim. Remember, before you say “I do,” make sure you’re reading the entire story and not just the book cover. Good night, everybody.
